Quarters Program
QMIS Training Schedule
Quarters Management Information System (QMIS) training is a 1-day training class in a computer lab that is recommended for all housing officers, whether new or experienced QMIS users. The class includes the regulations and methodologies used to determine rental rates (OMB Circular A-45, Rental and Construction of Government Quarters) and hands-on practice in using the QMIS software. Upon completion, the student will be better able to understand how rents are determined, to answer questions from tenants, to maintain their current housing inventory data, calculate and print rents, and run reports in QMIS.
QMIS users are encouraged to attend a class in their region, however all classes are identical, so students may attend any class in any region. There is no charge for this training, however, your agency is responsible for your travel and per diem costs.
WebEx® training is also available annually in January. Each WebEx® class is a live 2½-hour session that can be attended from your own computer and telephone. The schedule and detailed instructions will be e-mailed to users each December from your regional or national housing office. No registration is required; all WebEx® sessions are first-come, first-served.
