On Thursday October 20, 2005, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia issued a Preliminary Injunction to the Department of the Interior (DOI) that directed the Department to disconnect all Information Technology (IT) systems that house or provide access to Individual Indian Trust Data (IITD). A subsequent Stay was issued on Friday October 21, 2005. That means that, for the time being and the immediately foreseeable future, the Preliminary Injunction will not go into effect.
