NBC & the President's Management Agenda
Improve Financial Performance

The NBC supports the PMA objective of improved financial performance and eliminating improper payments through our use of core financial systems that meet stringent federal financial management standards. As an experienced provider of federal financial and business management products and services for over 20 years, the NBC can assure our customers of standardized financial management processes, clean audit opinions, and timely financial statements, period-end reporting and performance data.

2006 was a year of planning and implementing strategic initiatives that support both the NBC's Strategic Plan and the President's Management Agenda. The NBC continues to devote energy and resources to:

  • Optimize service delivery: by optimizing our hosting environments and establishing a three-tier service delivery model.
  • Offer best value: by establishing activity-based costing (ABC) methodology to accurately assess product and service costs and streamlining our product offerings.
  • Commit to quality: by adhering to industry best practices, particularly in project management, and focusing on quality management and configuration and change management.
  • Strengthen internal controls: by refining our standardized transaction processes and procedures, performance metrics and customer reporting.
  • Focus on the customer: by establishing a Customer Outreach organization, strengthening our customer relationship management, and expanding our service offerings.
