Accounting Services - NBC’s 1099 Reporting Time Line
The NBC successfully processes 1099’s for more than 20 clients each year. Below is our standard timeline for this service that is available through our Accounting Operations Division:
- By January 31 of each year, Forms 1099s are mailed to the taxpayer.
- By March 31, the IRS file is due.
- NBC accounting personnel attend IRS yearly 1099 Seminar for ADO 1099 Accountants, Vendor Maintenance Team, and Certifying Officers.
- NBC accounting personnel attend IRS yearly 1099 Seminar for Charge Card Support Center.
- During the month of December of each calendar year, NBC accounting personnel create 1099 project plan and schedules.
- 1099 project plan and schedules are distributed to all NBC 1099 points of contact (POCs).
- Prior to January reporting, NBC accounting personnel test jobs to produce and provide output data for review by the NBC Accounting Operations Division (AOD) Vendor Maintenance Team.
- In mid-December, NBC accounting personnel begin a client review to anticipate and resolve any issues.
During the month of December, the NBC accounting personnel coordinate with clients on obtaining Charge Card information.
- By the end of the first week in January, NBC accounting personnel follow-up on the clients Charge Card file availability.
- Third week of January - import of data to 1099 Pro software.
- Third week of January - submit data to 1099 Pro for TIN matching.
